Chilly Friday🌶🌶
So I recycled a cake container and used it to plant my very own home grown chilies. As days went by, I have noticed that the chilly plant is not really thriving and bearing fruits so it was evident that the chilly plant is not doing well in this current weather conditions.
Note that chilies thrive in full sun although they can grow in semi-shade they won’t produce as many fruits so one needs to position the chilly plant in a sunny area.So the chilly plant need a lot of sunlight to both survive and thrive.
Chilies natural environment is dry and warm and water is not always available so it can be said that chilly plant are not big on water. If the chilies are overwatered then they won’t be able to absorb oxygen. Oxygen helps in transporting nutrients to all parts of the plant including the sugar created in photosynthesis. When the chilly plant is overwatered then the transportation is hindered leading to the plant not growing and flourishing.
So it is safe to say that the chilly plant won’t do well in cold weathers and we should avoid watering the plant always maybe just water twice or three times a week.
